Dear friends of the Whiskey Festival in Limburg, as announced in our last update from March 20th, 2022, we are informing you about the changes that have now occurred.

From April 2nd, 2022 to April 29th, 2022, the Corona Virus Basic Protection Measures Ordinance applies in Hesse.

According to this regulation, our event is not subject to any corona-related restrictions.

Nevertheless, we have decided that we want to offer visitors and exhibitors protection that we think is appropriate given the current pandemic situation.

Visitors and exhibitors are granted access to the event premises in compliance with the following regulations:

Admission only in compliance with the 3G regulation

This means that you have to show a currently valid vaccination or recovery certificate at the box office. It is also sufficient if a negative rapid antigen test from a recognized test center is presented at the checkout (please note that this must not be older than 24 hours). A test center is located about 200m from the Stadthalle and will increase its capacity on the festival weekend. Each visitor and exhibitor is responsible for wearing a protective mask. There is no obligation to wear a mask.
There are no further admission restrictions (e.g. limitation of the number of visitors).

In this way we answer the most frequently asked questions in the last few weeks:

Do I need a pre-sale ticket to attend the festival?

The background to the questions was to ensure that one can attend the whiskey festival and not be turned away at the door.

The short answer is, you don’t need pre-sale tickets to attend the event. Admission can be conveniently paid at the box office.

Will there be a participant limit?

No, because just as many visitors and exhibitors are admitted this year as in the years before the Corona pandemic.

Why weren’t there advance ticket sales this year?

Due to the rapidly changing and unpredictable Corona regulations, we had previously refrained from offering advance tickets. In addition, the pre-sale tickets only have the purpose of avoiding long queues at the box office. Due to the regulation that is now known and will apply until April 29th, 2022, we have clarity about the conditions under which our event can be held. For this reason we will be offering pre-sale tickets with immediate effect. This link takes you to advance ticket sales:

The tickets for the canceled event from 2020 will of course remain valid.

Are tastings offered?

Yes, we will offer tastings this year.

What are the opening times and how much does admission cost?

It will be open on Saturday, April 23, 2022, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Sunday, April 24, 2022, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Admission is €12 including a tasting glass.
